What an amazing day. We prepared for Shabbat first by participating at Hazon Yeshaya Humanitarian Relief. We walked through the Machneh Yehudah shuk and bought treats for shabbat. To get into the Shabbat spirit, we put on a concert and raised money for charity! The people of shuk participated with us as we sang and danced. We all bought lunch at the shuk, then went to the Rose Garden near the Israeli Knesset to relax in the park. We returned to the Old City of Jerusalem for Friday Night services at the Kotel - what an incredible experience! All types of Jews from around the world were there. We sang and danced and welcomed Shabbat in true Jerusalem style! After, we ate in the Old City and had an inspirational meal full of song and laughter.
